Bob Hutchinson's private gallery During 57+ years of photography in the 48 lower states the public has never seen his photography. Bob has never displayed or sold his photography.

The little country school in Blanchard, LA, then a burg 10 miles NW of Shreveport, was required to add curriculum to the 26 student, eighth grade class.  The principal brought boxes from home, set up a photo lab in a utility room and Blanchard school was teaching photography.  With Mom's help, Bob gathered up a few bucks and purchased what was then a consumer product, a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye camera, with flash attachment and a supply of flash bulbs.

Sixties
During the late sixties period Bob became dedicated to studying large format photography under the watch of Shreveport Master Photographer Jim Hampson, expert in commercial, industrial and aerial photography.

Teaching Photography
In 1994 Bob went on a three-month working vacation to Mesa AZ with computer and office gear and of course photographic equipment for the wonderful outdoor photo opportunities. Shortly after arriving Bob began offering outdoor, scenic and landscape photography lessons where every class was a field trip beginning at daylight at the trail head of one of the mountain parks or hiking trails. Bob says, "Saturdays and Sundays with a maximum of eight students was great fun and wonderful exercise. I leased a nice home in Scottsdale and stayed for two years."

Throughout the years Bob has traveled to all contiguous 48 States for business and pleasure, always with camera gear. The diversity of Bob's 48 years of photography is apparent in the gallery exhibition.

Private Photos
Bob converted the three front rooms of his home in Houston to a private photo gallery. Photographs in the gallery are some of Bob's personal favorites with a few selected by others for printing. Most of the photographs were printed using the latest digital techniques and professional equipment.  Because Bob has utilized larger negatives over the years, many prints are large, a few to 30" x 60" size. He can print to 24" x about 48" and has larger prints done elsewhere. With 57+ years of images available Bob's range of prints is stunning.

Bob's office is in the den of the home and he says he, "Gets to live in the rest of the house, but may convert all of the house to a  photo gallery and live elsewhere".

Many of the custom cameras made or modified by him can be seen at his enthusiast web:> http://bigcamera.com

Bob is currently unmarried and resides in Houston.
